Jury Overview
Whether it was a tight budget, a small space, or a specific program, these projects evoke the essence of what a winning small firm does best: melding a conceptual, academic approach with a hyperpractical approach. These projects speak to current sustainability and cultural dialogues in architecture while maintaining the identity and vision of their clients. We were drawn to the works that did a lot with little—emphasizing the struggle that small firms endure as they build their practice.
