Jury comments: Flyleaf Portable Reading Room is lovely–the combination of a public lending library and a private reading nook. The project can be opened and closed with the turn of a handcrank, eliciting the opening and closing of a book. Making reading space and material available to anyone without qualification, Flyleaf Portable Reading Room is poetic, elegant, and a true (unbuilt) asset to the community.
