Jury comments: AquíAquí is clever, timely, and all about creating community. Situated on the Mexico-Texas border, this stretch of concrete wall is not actually a wall. Instead, it is made up of flexible, movable components that create spaces for people to gather instead of blockades to keep them out. AquíAquí is a statement about how designers can cultivate outdoor space. The concept is as beautiful as the renderings.
