Jury comments: An urban house on a difficult site does a lot with a little. Long, narrow, and sculptural, its quirky roofline takes cues from surrounding buildings. Set-back decks offer residents a surprising amount of privacy given the building’s raucous urban site. Clear constraints drove this economical and brave development.
