Jury comments: The building’s exterior is striking. It is all the more compelling for its use of biophilic elements. On the outside, this school is very much “of its place.” On the inside, it seems more traditional, better scaled and suited to middle schoolers than preschoolers. Still, the building’s sophisticated design and its environmental considerations make it noteworthy.
