Jury comments: Beggar’s Wharf in Rockland, Maine is reimagined as a significant mixed-use waterfront development. Included in the program are commercial spaces, exhibition spaces, artists lofts, hotels, and most importantly, an Arts Center. A project of this scale may benefit from multiple developers and architects so as to avoid a too singular design expression.
