Jury comments: The renovation of this storefront and flexible event space supports a nonprofit that empowers youth who might not otherwise be empowered.The architect paid careful attention to putting the big design moves where they were needed most, resulting in a space that displays thoughtful material choices, a compelling rhythm of rolling bookcases, and subtle treatment of systems. It is a good space with a good mission.
