Jury comments: In this corporate restaurant, the juxtaposition of sublime green chairs with a grand, sculptural central staircase is stunning. The urban skyline is framed in double height space and at night, enhanced by subtle lighting, the green stools evoke topiaries in a formal English garden. Throughout the project, obvious care was taken with details and materials, including the piping on the orange chairs and the use of raw metal with black. The servery’s grab and go section is very trendy but the bar element by the stair is timeless, minimal, evoking the midcentury’s best.
