Jury comments: Paying homage to historic mill buildings that were lost to time and fire, this project uses reclaimed materials for historic texture. Its forms, massing, and materials evoke the industrial neighborhood, creating a space that is rooted in the past but not restricted by it. This is contemporary space serving today’s community.
