Jury comments: This beautifully glazed arts center faces outward toward commercial streets, inviting the community to participate in the act and enjoyment of art. Materiality and unfussy interiors pay homage to the local coal and metal industries with a fresh, light feel. So much was done to create lovely spaces on a limited budget.
