Jury comments: This athletics center seems almost too refined for its use—and that’s a good thing. The understated exterior melds with its surroundings, expressing a contemporary version of the campus’s vernacular. The interior is rich with subtle graphics and elegant spaces. Would that more projects of this type were so sophisticated.
