Jury comments: A significant urban intervention, this project marries three historic buildings and introduces a contemporary facade of finely crafted brickwork to form a unified collage of a building that welcomes the neighborhood on all sides. Mixed uses include public school administration, community gathering spaces, and retail. Historic integrity and future vision are beautifully balanced.
