Jury comments: Cited for Interior A lot of the power of this project comes from the building itself, not the retrofit, but from an interiors standpoint it is very strong. The design strategy was decided when the existing ceiling was removed to reveal a vaulted concrete form. The balance of materiality is sublime, with industrial elements mixed with gorgeous finishes. The palette is sophisticated and restrained. One of the client’s goals was to create inner office connectivity. That goal was certainly, and beautifully, met.
