Jury comments: This project is an inspiring example of adaptive reuse that is respectful to the existing building while refreshing it significantly. The living spaces are warm and welcoming, The designer’s choice of materials create spaces that don’t scream “healthcare.” Great attention was paid to detail throughout–the artwork, the millwork, the built-in wardrobes–making for a comfortable, dignified home.
