Jury comments: This campus plan does a good job of explaining the engagement strategies involved. It tackles town-and-gown interface in a region that needs to address the issue. One juror liked “the fact that the core of the plan is an open space spine rather than a development parcel.” It deals with sustainability and urban design guidelines and “feels like the full package.” Once you get past its strong color and somewhat busy graphics, the plan makes a persuasive case.
