Jury comments: This affordable senior housing project is conventional but well-done. The outdoor space is beautiful, providing holistic, large-scale accessibility. In addition to a very handsome entrance with traditional stairs and a well-integrated ramp, there are accessible parking spaces, and a recessed patio with terraced green space. French doors and benches provide intuitive way finding and places to rest for the frail. Inside, there’s a gorgeous amount of public space and every room feels accessible. Every unit has roll-in showers, which should be standard for a project like this, but often is not.
