Jury comments: An underused deck space is transformed into a 150-sf addition to a historic brick building in Boston’s North End. The expansion is a handsome reinterpretation of the traditional bay window. The addition and infill add an extra room and living space that cantilevers over the street. We like the project’s public aspects. It dwells perfectly within the existing urban context. But we wish there was more to the presentation. There are no pictures to show us what it looks like on the inside.
